Makes electricity that makes all the body parts move.

That's where I come in. A motor neuron is a nerve cell. I contain electrical signals from the brain and take them to a muscle to make it move.

There are lots of us in your body. Each motor neuron has its own muscle to move and there are lots of muscles in your body. Can you count how many muscles you have in your body?

Did you remember the muscles you use to talk?

How about the ones you use to swallow?

Did you know you use muscles to breathe?

Even blinking your eye uses a muscle.

When scientist study motor neurons and how they work with movement it is called Neuroscience.

When a doctor treats problems with motor neurons he is known as a Neurologist.
