They don't know yet what causes ALS, but now you know lots of people are working hard to find out and working hard to find a cure.

Maybe you will become a scientist and discover a cure for a disease like ALS.

Meanwhile, you should know that PALS (People with ALS) love KIDS!

My friend Dan has an eight-year old son, RoboJosh (that's just a nickname, hee hee hee).

Dan said, "You can hug me, I'm floppy not fragile."

PALS love KIDS. They love to hear you talk to them, and watch you play and do lots of things with you.

Most of all, PALS love your hugs and kisses.

So you don't have to be afraid. They will always be happy to see you, and you know what? It's good for them!
